Fighting Severe Advanced Crohns

 It is sad that Scott, my husband of 28 years  has spent more time in the hospital than at home this year. You have heard me maybe speak about him  maybe on my morning show on WUPE....100.1 & 103.3.. He  has Severe Advanced Crohns Disease with complications, one of those being fistulas ( tears inside the body that route like tunnels..  he just went through major surgery at Lahey a little over two weeks ago. He is home now but we have to have an nurse come in everyday  to pack the wound, which is in a not very comfortable place.It has to be done twice a day but we can't afford to have a nurse come in twice a day so i do it the other time... no I am not a nurse,  but i do what i have to do to help him....he is in alot of pain. His health has deteriotated alot, other complications that i won't bore you with here. It seems that his health has gotten alot worse over the past few years. and this year has been the worse.... So many medications... trips to Lahey hospital ( which is a 6 hour round trip)  and the local hospitals, infectious disease doctors, gastro doctors, kidney doctor... the list  goes on and and on of specialists.  We are at a a point where i have to ask for financial help..., one trip in an ambulance here was $2,500 alone. We have tried to keep up  with everything but we can't, trying to pay copays.  When a copay for one med is $150 alone..wow..especially when they have him on so many different types of meds, needless to say other bills do not get paid so we can pay a little to each Doctor and  get his meds.  We have been told there may have to be another surgery down the road... not looking forward to that. I don't know whow Scott keeps going..We have great family even though they are far away.   I do work, so I have great people I work with and friends i can rely on for emotional support. but now ...We are asking for your help. $15,00 0, it won't cover everything, especially in the coming year...but anything you can give will be appreciated.
