Tia Any’s Fight

As a few of you already know, my aunt Ana “Any” Villarroel was diagnosed with Glioblastoma at the beginning of April of this year.  Since then, my uncle Orlando, has not only been dealing with this devastating news, but also with all the mounting medical expenses.   It has gotten to a point that he can no longer do this alone, so I’m asking for your help. 

For those of you who know Any, you know she is a person full of life; happy, energetic, and always has a smile on her face, no matter what.  Any and my uncle own a dry cleaner in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ.  Prior to her diagnosis, she was working side by side with him.  She is a hard worker and their customers love her.  Many of them have told my uncle how contagious her smile is and they miss seeing her. 

One of her greatest passions is cooking for her family; and whenever we got together, even after she was diagnosed, she managed to make a great meal for everyone to enjoy.  Recently, this disease has taken the best of her but she continues to fight and put her best foot forward.  She has great days and lately, she has been having some bad ones; but she is not giving up and continues to battle this disease.  Knitting is another one of her passions.  Whenever a new baby has come into the family, she has knitted something special for them that we will forever treasure.

As you can imagine, treating this brain tumor has created a huge financial burden on my uncle.  I’m reaching out to everyone and anyone that can help him focus on taking care of my aunt Any and not on the financial stress that this is causing him.  So far, he has received over $300,000 in medical bills and there are more to come.  Please help me make this possible for him.  Any donation, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated.
