Thomas Kash and Tom Pinch Hurricane

Donation protected
We all have a story to tell about the devistation of the 3 recent hurricanes to hit our shores and our islands. But here is a way we can all make a difference in the lives of dear friends, Thomas Kash and Tom Pinch (Yon Yokle). Although they are safe from the Cat 5 Hurricane Maria that spead across St Croix in the Virgin Islands recently, they suffered mass destruction on the island and in particular, to a portion of their home. From what we could assertain, the eye of Hurricane Maria was w/in 8 miles of their home!! After venturing outside during the storm, they found all their furniture and newer Weber grill spune onto the driveway having been thrown through the Gallery rail! Luckily their beloved pergola and roof are aok. The dogs and birds also weathered well.

However, it took many many days for Tom's to be able to contact us. And in turn, it took a number of days to go down the "hill" to the nearest gas station only to find a line a mile+ long and all banking/credit card machines  down.

As always is the case with Toms', they were thinking of their elderly neighbors who did not have enough propane. They connected from their generator 600 feet to their friends to power their refrigerator and lights. Even in the heartbreak and fear of their own place, they were thinking of their neighbors & friends'.

Tom and Tom last weekend had only 30 gallons of fuel stored, as you can imagine, that will not last long.

Dave and I are hoping you can join us to donate to Tom and Tom to help them survive for the next few months. It appears they will be without power for 6-9 months! Right now, they get occassional text messages and even less often, a phone call.
We ask you to join us to help purchase necessary life sustaining items such as: an Inverter, lithium battery, outdoor propane for outdoor water heater. All strange words for us, but life rescuing for them.

Right now, it takes about 25 gallons of fuel/day to power thier generator and gas is still being rationed. Thank God for the generator! But these other items will assist them in creating a livable space as the cleanup progresses and in trying to get back to normal as soon as can possibly be. Of course, at the moment, they cannot work, and cash machines aren't working. Medical supplies are in short supply and we pray they stay healthy.

Tom and Tom need your help....won't you assist? Any little bit will help!
All the monies will go directly to them through "Go Fund Me". If you have any questions, please contact us. In case you are wondering, "Go Fund Me" asks that I tell you we are friends of Tom Kash from College at UW-River Falls. 45 years of friendship.  And of course have known Pinch for 15 or so years through Kash. You all have your stories of love of these two great men....share them as you make a donation. I know Kash & Pinch will be deeply touched.
If you have other thoughts on how to assist, please let us know. Don't delay, donate today. Please pass along to others who will know Tom and Tom.....

God bless our friends and keep them safe. TOM AND TOM...we all love you so.
