Dear Youth Advocate,
I'm sure you are aware of the important role a campaign to encourage young people between the age of 11-22 to think twice before picking up a gun is needed. 24 teens die each day due to violence. So I do not have to tell you how big the role of "Think Twice" a National Shock Ad Campaign, plays in helping people whose lives are impacted by violence. This important work is supported largely by the support of my generous supporters who have contributed both your time and money to our capital campaign. This year's goal is One hundred thousand dollars, which will allow "Think Twice" to continue to expand our campaign to 5 cities. Providing much needed workshops, seminars and peer to peer mentoring. Without the continued support of generous donors like you, these needs will likely go unmet, and truthfully more youth may die.
In order to continue making a difference in the lives of individuals affected by the work of "Think Twice", it is vital for this year's capital campaign to be a success. Some people may ask you how can a billboard change a heart? The simple answer" The heart cannot feel what the eyes do not see". As of July 1, 2014 40 billboards are up in Atlanta, and three workshops have been completed. Can I count on you to make a donation to this important cause? Can I count on you to share with your friend's how important this campaign truly is? By making a donation to our capital campaign, you'll be directly contributing to billboards, PSA's and workshops to encourage young people to think twice before committing act of violence. Additionally, you'll be recognized for your generosity as a capital campaign supporter on the "Think Twice" website and in the upcoming newsletter.
