Life has a funny way of providing us with teachable moments. If we are lucky, we not only survive those moments, but we learn a great deal about ourselves in the process. For me, I found my passion late in life; acting. I love acting! I cannot get enough of it and if you know your life’s passion you get where I’m coming from in wanting to share something that I’m excited about with others. Acting is a passion that requires commitment, constant study, hard work, self-discovery, and appreciation for even a small piece of success. While on this journey, I was given a great piece of advice: "Don't wait for Hollywood to find you! Create your own work and make them seek you out.” That is how "The Grey Parallel" was born.
“The Grey Parallel” is a story that I wanted to tell. It's a story of love, commitment, disappointment, intensity, and fear. In other words, it’s about life. Its focus is on the not so clear cut parts of life that we all go through and the internal struggles we face to hold on to what we value. This story can’t be told without financial support to get off the ground though. My plan is to complete the principle photography before September 20th! Therefore, time is of the essence. The sooner we can raise money for this, the sooner we can get this film completed.
The purpose of this crowdfunding campaign is to generate funds to make this movie film festival worthy. This project is fortunate to have been blessed with some very talented actors and I owe them a piece of work that they can be proud of. Funds will be used for sound mixing, editing, photography, a screening venue, and for providing food for the actors and crew.
There is no possible way for me to express how thankful I am for your support. This is definitely a passion project. I put this together to give actors an opportunity to act! I'm hoping with the success of “The Grey Parallel”, we can do more! I love helping my fellow actors because I believe there is room for all of us to be successful in this industry. I firmly believe we have to take care of the passionate beginning actor who just needs to work, get a reel, and become SAG Eligible (those who have talent, but need help getting to the next level) and I’m excited to be able to offer an opportunity for actors with varying levels of experience through this project.
