Hello!

What is The First of Many (TFOM)?
TFOM is an accessible space dedicated to supporting artists and creatives in Baltimore. We aim to offer a welcoming environment for the community to collaborate and connect through artist-led workshops, panel discussions, the TFOM podcast, and art resource fairs in partnership with local organizations. TFOM will also serve as a hub for creatives to house their businesses and showcase their products.

Inside TFOM Headquarters, you’ll find:
  • Sourcher Studio – A photography and content studio
  • Film Developing and Printing Suite
  • Exhibition/Gallery Space
  • Classrooms for workshops
  • Meeting Room for Panel Discussions
  • Retail shop featuring merchandise and works from local artists/creatives
  • Local businesses
  • Artist Studios
  • Cafe

TFOM began as a vision to amplify creative voices and provide educational opportunities through art, community-building, and accessible programming. Initially a project, The First of Many Series (TFOMS) is a Movement; An appreciation and realization of self centered around 50 artists and creatives in Baltimore, MD.

Now, it’s time to transition TFOM into a full-fledged business organization, expanding its reach and impact.

Why TFOM?
Through TFOM, Jasmine Washington can continue advocating for change and greater accessibility for artists and creatives in Baltimore, MD, by fostering connections and collaborations with artists, creatives, and organizations in Maryland and Baltimore City.

About the Founder
Jasmine Washington is an ART-ivist and Status Quo Disruptor. With a dedication to exploring the complexities of identity, culture, and social justice, Jasmine uses her art to challenge conventional perspectives, fostering both personal reflection and collective dialogue.

Committed to amplifying marginalized voices, she creates platforms where the unheard are not only seen but celebrated.

As a multidisciplinary visual artist and curator, Jasmine designs exhibitions that evoke emotional resonance and spark conversations about pressing societal issues. Beyond her visual work, she moderates panels with intentionality, guiding discussions that cultivate connection, understanding, and growth.

Rooted in empathy and purpose, Jasmine’s practice is driven by the belief that art has the power to inspire change, uplift communities, honor untold stories, and redefine the very essence of what art can be.

Why is $50,000 Needed?
