<div><strong>In memory of our Charlie Boy</strong>
</div>
<div>On 12th June 2025, we lost our beautiful son, Charlie, at just 20 years old, following his courageous battle with Stage 4 nodular malignant melanoma.

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It has taken me, as his mum, a long time to find the strength to update this page. Losing Charlie has changed our lives forever, and coming to terms with that loss is something we continue to face every single day.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Although Charlie is no longer physically with us, his legacy lives on.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Charlie was kind, funny, determined and full of life. Even while battling Stage 4 cancer, he completed his joinery apprenticeship, continued playing football, and inspired everyone who met him with his strength and resilience.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Charlie always dreamed of helping others.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today, that dream continues through The Charlie Boy Foundation, an officially registered Scottish charity (SC055284) established in his memory.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our mission is to:
</div>
<div>Raise awareness of skin cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
</div>
<div>Support individuals and families facing serious illness.
</div>
<div>Contribute towards vital cancer research and future treatments.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Charlie often spoke about raising over £1 million to help others. Although he is no longer here to achieve that dream himself, we have made a promise to continue it in his name.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation, every fundraiser and every act of kindness helps us honour Charlie's life while supporting families facing similar journeys.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our website is now live:
</div>
<div><a href="https://www.charlieboyfoundation.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">www.charlieboyfoundation.com</a>
</div>
<div>There you can learn more about Charlie's story, our work, upcoming events and ways to get involved.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you would like to support the foundation, organise a fundraiser or simply get in touch, we'd love to hear from you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Finally, in Charlie's memory, we ask one thing of everyone reading this...
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please protect your skin. Wear SPF, stay sun safe and never ignore changes to your skin.
</div>
<div>Early detection really can save lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, generosity and unwavering support over the past two years.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Everything we do is for Charlie — and for every family facing this journey.
