Supporting the Wykes Family

Saturday Jan 6, while at home with his family, Shamus suffered a pulmonary embolism that made it's way to his heart and caused cardiac arrest.  In the 40 minutes it took to revive him significant damage was done to the rest of his body.  He is nothing short of a miracle, now having weaned off ventilator suppport, and moving out of ICU.  While he should be home in a relatively short time, the road to recovery remains long and difficult.  During this time, both Suzanne and Shamus are off work, with Suzanne returning much sooner than Shamus.  The medical expenses will be enormous.  As well as all of the lost income and things just not covered. For two career educators, this can be daunting.  Let's rally the community to ease some of the financial pressure off of them.  While they were reluctant to allow this to happen, their friends have convinced them that this is a way for the community to help give back to them.
