This is the Slaughte family! They have been my neighbors for the last 7 years. They are the most generous, kind, loyal, people you could ever meet. They would all give you the shirt off their back, even if it were their last one, and they would do it with a smile.
About 16 month ago Chuck, the Dad, was diagnosed with cancer. He fought and is still fighting the long, hard fight. He has never given up.
Since, I've known Chuck has always given everything he has to help others, even if he didn't have it to give. He dedicated himself to Broadneck baseball for 13 years, as well as to his family and to his friends. He has opened his doors to anyone who needed a place to live. He is the neighbor you can call at 2am and he would be there.
The medical bills and living expenses are piling up. We would like to help them cover the mortgage for as long as possible to relieve even the smallest burden from the family.
