I'm the Rev. Dr. Robert Massey, founder of Xtra Mile Mindset, LLC, which is a for profit company that was created to do upscale event planning. However, my passion for HIV Awareness, which I have had for over 20 years developed when one my late Pastor became diagnosed with HIV, and then acquired AIDS and did succumb to this disease in 1992. But what pricked my heart to begin doing "HIV AWARENESS: The RED PARTY," was in 2011 when I received a late-night call from a friend of mine who was a Law Enforcement professional as was I at the time, and he wanted to commit suicide because he was diagnosed as HIV Positive. After three hours of dialogue via telephone and close to 4am in the morning I was able to get him to put the gun down, meet with me and finally get into treatment. Today, he's doing well and his viral load is now undetectable. (Thank God) But after discussing this subject on Facebook for three (3) consecutive months the Red Party for HIV Awareness was birthed. To continue to have these parties to spread HIV Awareness and the facts about HIV/AIDS I need your support.
My desire is to launch a new entity called Biynah HIV Awareness, which will be an indirect resource service provider to make the Red Party for HIV Awareness an official non-profit entity with it's own 501 (C) 3. The word Biynah means to have a "perfect understanding" and that's our desire at Xtra Mile Mindset and Biynah, which is to give you a "perfect understanding" of HIV, HIV Testing, and the various resources that are available to you if you're HIV Positive. In order to do this I'm reaching out to all of you who know my passion about HIV Awareness and I'm asking you to contribute whatever God places on your heart so we can reach our goal of $50,000 USC. This money will help us pay all the bills for the upcoming RED PARTY [Biynah Launch](Friday, July15, 2016, at Antuns Banquet Hall) and the legal fees to properly file Biynah HIV Awareness (The Red Party) and make it a legal not-for-profit/non-profit/charitable entity in the land with all the necessary incidentals to function legally.
This Gofundme is for those who are willing to go the e[Xtra Mile Mindset] with me to ensure this is a great event and become a legal non-profit; we are in process but there is still much work to do. Thus, many of you told me that you'll be traveling and can't attend the RED Party, this is a way for you to contribute. WE HAVE FOUR (4) MONTHS AND BELIEVE TOGETHER WE CAN DO IT!!! I can't tell you what to give but I showed you 4 years ago how together a little under $10,000 could make a difference! Imagine what we could accomplish together with $25,000 dollars. I was told to "dream big or go home!" This is for those of you who want to ensure that I reach my goal and that I'm able to make the RED Party an official non-profit charitable organization in the future.
The Red Party for HIV Awareness Fundraiser is designed to bring awareness to the subject matter of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and how this virus continues to ravage the world globally but particularly in the African American, Latin, and other people of color within the Urban communities. We at Xtra Mile Mindset, LLC believe that ignorance of how one becomes infected with HIV, the lack of sexually transmitted disease (STD) /sexually transmitted infections (STI) testing and the fact that most people don’t know there STD/STD status nor how to properly protect themselves continues to perpetuate HIV within the aforementioned communities and ethnic groups listed above. We believe by creating Biynah HIV Awareness, known to you as, "The Red Party" will help us to give those in the aforementioned communities a perfect understanding about the FACTS about HIV, and how to prevent becoming infected and or spreading the infection if you have already tested HIV positive.
