As many have heard my grandparents were hit by the tornado that came through Palm Bay, FL during Hurricane Irma. Palm Bay Tornado Story
They have lost their entire home and very close to everything in it. I have helped them apply to FEMA for help, but all the red tape will take time. They are in need now.
They have no INSURANCE & live on a modest fixed income. This is their only home, not a second home or vacation home, this was it.
Our family has pulled together to help in the cleanup and salvage of what remains. We would like to gather funds to help them rent a home, fill their fridge, buy clothes, and more... The needs are too long to list, as one can imagine. Just how much $$ they need is undetermined at this time. I started with a $5000.00 dollar goal, which with so much support we came close to. I am adding more to the goal, as they will be in need of everything. Anything will help and is greatly appreciated. Prayers and shares are a huge help, too!
My grandparents are the type of people that will do anything for anyone. My grandma is a retired office manager of a medical practice. She has always been there for us grandkids, especially when we were young. Because of recent medical issues, she is unable to do most things on her own. My grandpa Bill is a retired Master Sergeant of the Marine Corps, serving 20 years and in the Vietnam War. He volunteers for St. Francis Hospice visiting their patients at least once a week. They are special people!
