Who am I and what is the Love Revolution?
I'm Alex, aka earthboi. :) I am simply a man on a mission to change the world. Cliché? Perhaps. But from the time I was a little boy I've always felt a little different. And no, I won't tell the coming out story here, though it is a good one. I'm talking about my gift/curse to see and feel so deeply. Growing up in the woods, spending every weekend sleeping under the stars, coming out as the only LGBT person in my school, and battling depression and addiction as so many of us have; all this taught me what truly matters in life. We are all interconnected, we are all eternal souls in temporary bodies, and we are all here to do one thing: love. The human race is off track. We take take take from Momma Nature, and rarely ever give back. We obsess and slave over numbers created out of thin air as if they were actual life energy. We mistake material things for happiness. We divide ourselves in a seemingly infinite amount of ways, from imaginary borders to imaginary identities. My mission is simple. Plant the seeds of change. Splash ripples of love across the world. Inspire others to live happier, more fulfilling lives, not because we eliminated the bad (that's impossible) but because we know what truly matters when all is said and done. I call this mission The Love Revolution.
What does the money go towards?
I know all the eloquent words in the world cannot elicit as much change as one action. The Love Revolution is translated into action through the wonderful tool known as the Internet. I have been creating a community on various platforms, including YouTube and Instagram, to collectively inspire the world to live with a little more kindness, joy, and integrity. I create videos of my adventures, the lessons I learn, practical how-to's on how to be better stewards of the the Earth and each other, meditations, self-help wisdom, the list goes on. It has been an amazing journey thus far, but it's time to evolve. Kinda like Pokemon.
The reason I am creating this GoFundMe is because I need to take the community to the next level. I make a small income from my website and Instagram but it is not enough to be financially independent yet. With your incredible selflessness, I can afford to get out on the open road and really take things to the next level.
To visit lands far and wide, to see last of the virgin wilderness, to feel the wind unbridled, to look up and see millions of years in an instant. To document it all. And share it with you :)
Unfortunately, our society has made dreams difficult to realize with a tricky little thing called money. To realize my dream, I need a shelter with wheels, a green energy system (solar panels), satellite internet, fuel, food, clean water, etc. If you can spare anything to help make this a reality, you have my deepest gratitude. If you can't, trust me I know the feeling. Regardless I will help you in any way I can to fulfill your dreams, and thank you for caring about mine.
