Jizaiah needs our help during his third battle with Leukemia. He needs love and support but also needs financial help to ensure he has a home to go to after his fight.

At just 4 years old Jizaiah was rushed to the emergency room in the middle of Hurricane Sandy October of 2012. After approximately 7 long weeks of being in the hospital he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). At this time he went through 2 and a half years of chemotherapy resulting of him being cancer free. (So we thought).

Jizaiah began to slowly but surely become a “normal” 8 year old boy. Unfortunately just after 3 months in remission Jizaiah had a relapse. This time around he had very intense chemotherapy along with radiation. He then recieved a bone marrow transplant with the donar being his older brother on January 24, 2017. The transplant required him to be in isolation for the following year to protect him against infection and rejection. After he received his transplant things were going great until he started experiencing painful inflammation and ulceration in his mouth which is caused by Mucositis, painful inflammation and ulceration of the mucous membranes lining the digestive tract, usually as an adverse effect of chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment for cancer. This side effect caused Jizaiah to go into Sepshis Schock not once but 3 times, which lead the doctors to induce a medical coma. Once Jizaiah was able to breath on his own the doctors removed all machines and little by little he started becoming himself again.

After finally coming home from those long weeks in the hospital we were all excited to live a normal life with Jizaiah. He was finally able to get into swimming pools , ride a bike,do things a normal 9 year old boy can do. This summer Jizaiah enjoyed himself during a trip to Florida at Disney Resorts. He rode on water slides and roller coasters, just having the time of his life without a care in the world. Towards the ending of the summer Jizaiah realized the new school year was approaching. He went from being home schooled and having teachers come to his hospital room to help keep him at the grade level that he's suppose to be in to finally attending the 3rd grade at a normal Elementary school. Yay !!!

Suddenly one afternoon Jizaiah came home from school in so much pain. We asked him what was wrong and he told us during recess he was playing around with one of his classmates and got tackled. Ever since then Jizaiah hasn't stopped complaining about backaches and leg pains. After a couple of weeks of him not recovering from the injury we knew something wasn’t right with Jizaiah but per the doctors everything was okay he was just a little fragile.

Yesterday Jizaiah was taken to the doctors due to him blood coming out of his mickey button which is feeding tube inserted in the stomach area. We received the devasting news that the CANCER has yet again returned. He was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). We don’t know much about what the treatment will be like this time around we can only hope for the best outcome.

Jizaiah comes from a very big family of both parents and 7 siblings. His mother, Lilly , fights this battle with him and is his sole support. She has not left Jizaiah’s side once spending her nights sleeping in a chair at his bedside. Even while being 8 months pregnant with Jizaiah’s 5 year old sister at the time of his first diagnosis she refused to leave his side. Lilly is a stay at home mom who also helps care for Jizaiah’s father who suffered an accident at work which doesn’t allow him to work. Their lives revolve around trips between Elizabeth and Hackensack for treatments and the fight against cancer. Looming over their heads are daily expenses along with medical expenses. To make matters worse the one vehicle the family shares needs fixing in order to make the many trips to and from the hospital.

At the age of 9 Jizaiah has endured more pain, suffering and struggle there many of us will face in a lifetime. Lets come together as a community to ensure Jizaiah will maintaine a roof over his head, food to eat and heat until things get better for this family.

Anyone that knows Jizaiah can tell you how much a bright and fun person he is. He loves to be around his older siblings and his nieces and nephews. He love to rap, dance, make YouTube videos and listen to music. He really needs everyones support.! Lets make this go viral!! Please help and please share. Anything helps.

With Love his Sister,
Michellee
