We are calling on the love and support of Orcas Islanders to help lift the Gonzalez family (Joey and Stephanie and their two children - Willow and Elijah) in their time of need.
Most of us at one time or another have been the beneficiaries of Joey and Stephanie's good will, positivity and amazing energy that they continually put out into our community. Their dog grooming business has kept all of our beloved fur babies loved and pampered as well. Now, it is our turn for us to help relieve their burdens and wrap them in our hearts!
Joey is suffering from severe degenerative discs and bulging discs in his back as well as an annular tear. He is unable to lift larger dogs and has had to cut back on his business because of this. On top of his constant back pain he is experiencing frequent seizures that he dealt with most of his childhood and they are yet to find the correct dosage to help alleviate them.
Stephanie is also in the midst of medical issues as well as doctors try to determine the cause of her chronic pain and fatigue. She is in need of an MRI and other upcoming diagnostic tests and dealing with anxiety and depression.
Their daughter, Willow, also suffers from seizures and is in need of funds for a trip to Children's Hospital for an EEG.
On top of this their family dog, Pepper, was just diagnosed with liver cancer and their cat, Dexter, is recovering from colitis and enteritis.
Both Joey and Stephanie are so thankful for their strong marriage and the ability to lean on one another but they are exhausted and overwhelmed and too proud to ask for help.
Because of their medical issues they have used up all emergency savings. Living expenses and rent are coming due and the holidays are rapidly arriving. Their vehicles are in need of some repair and they have large vet bills unpaid. (Donations for helping to cover their vet bill can be made directly to Orcas Veterinary Clinic)
We would like to flood their hearts and home with financial support to help them relieve the stress of bills and give their children a wonderful holiday!
