Walk On - The Barefoot Journey

The children and community of Fundación Marajuera  opened my heart and mind to a degree I did not know possible.  Although they are raised in some of the toughest living conditions I have ever seen, they still have some of the biggest hearts and smiles this world has to offer. Id like to help keep those hearts and smiles alive as long as possible.

Is a non-profit based out of Choco, Colombia with about 175 kids, committed to providing opportunities for the children to showcase their richness, cultural values and talent; keeping them off the streets and away from the poverty and violence as much as possible. 

120 of the kids are avid soccer players, and another 30 have started a run group that meets 2x a week.

My goal is to raise as much as I can to provide them with new soccer cleats, running shoes and equipment to help keep their activites up.

On July 27th I will be hiking the Pacific Crest Trail barefoot for 21 days to help promote awareness.

On August 18th I will travel to Colombia where I will buy the shoes and equipment, take it to the kids.
