Fund 4 Young Bengali Mom in Saudi

Donation protected

A young Bangladeshi mother of two who has been severely abused by her husband, is now detained in a prison in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on suspicion of attempted suicide. Her two young sons were wrenched from her arms by her husband so she could be taken into custody. She has repeatedly tried to go back home to Bangladesh with her children, but has been prevented by her husband. She's alone, doesn't speak Arabic- the language of the country- and without a PENNY to her name. She was accused of attempting suicide by her husband. Suicide is a crime in Saudi Arabia. Despite her insistence that it was not a suicide attempt, but actually attempted murder by her husband, due to the language barrier, her husband was able to bring charges against her- she was powerless and taken into custody. She needs HELP to get good legal representation and to escape from this abusive relationship. The Wanisa Sisterhood, a support network for First Wives, has retained the services of Attorney Reda Abdulrazak, who has worked on numerous social justice cases. Please help us fund her legal defense and travel expenses (when freed) for her and her sons' return to her family in Bangladesh. Every dollar is appreciated.
