The Sunshine Home In Luxor

Welcome to The Sunshine Home GoFundMe Page! My name is Thomas Bright, and I live in The United States. I had the extreme pleasure of meeting these beautiful souls in 2016 on my first journey to Egypt through my great friend Dee Kennedy, only to return to see them again in 2018. This is my third fundraiser page, having successfully maxed out the donation amount in the previous two. The Sunshine Home unfortunately lost their board of directors in 2015, and since then there is a daily struggle to clothe, feed, and maintain the best education for them. We have successfully helped several of the young adults further their university studies, as well as provide school supplies and basic home needs for their dormitories. We also completed a much needed renovation to the bathroom in one the children's homes, as well as contributing to help with  celebrations and some beautiful wedding days. Now, we have cleaned and repaired air conditioning units in both the boy's and girl's homes, as well as buying a brand new deep freezer to store all of their food safely and properly. In this recent Ramadan of 2022, we were able to buy a brand new oven and cooker for the girl's home too! We are here to strive to keep Pearl Smith's dream alive for their future lives in Egypt.
