The Glass Slipper

Hi! My name is Kate. It is almost my 7th birthday and I have made a BIG decision. Instead of presents I would like to collect money to buy shoes for ALL of the children at the Tree of Life Children's Village in Zambia, Africa. When I was 3 years old my mommy went to Zambia for the very first time. She told me all about the children she was going to visit. I grabbed all of my favorite sparkle shoes and put them in her suitcase because I wanted her to give them to another little girl. When my mommy got there she found a lot of girls who needed shoes, but their feet were too big. She searched and searched until she finally found Doreen (pictured). She said it was just like trying to find Cinderella. The children at Tree of Life need special shoes for school that have to be bought in Zambia. A pair of shoes costs $20. There are about 400 children at the Tree of Life so my goal is $8,000. I know that is a BIG goal for a little girl, but one of my favorite verses is 1 Timothy 4:12.
