The Brogan Fund

Donation protected
This fund is for my wife Krissy and our son Evan. In  early October of 2012 my wife and I found out that we were going to have another baby , the first couple months of her pregnancy went like all the others.(we had 4 awesome boys already ages 7, 12, 13, and 15) but, in early November she started having many complications that the local Dr`s were unable to address..We went dozens of times to diagnose and run tests to figure out what was going wrong..After two more months of bouncing back and forth between doctors and tests someone in early February 2013 diagnosed Krissy with Stage IV Colerectal Cancer that had spread up into her liver...Our baby (we learned would be another boy) she was carrying was right around 22 weeks.
After many visits with oncologyst and other medical dr`s they determined that we would start chemotherapy treatment quickly to help save Krissy and our babies life, at about 28 weeks Krissy developed preclamcia and it was important that she have the baby early so, after several chemo treatments and other complications the Dr`s delivered our miracle baby Evan Wayne Brogan at 1 lbs. 14 ozs on March 25th , 2013..He was 28 weeks old and was kept in the NICU at St Lukes Hospital for the next 2 and a half months while Krissy continued to struggle and get her chemo treatments bi weekly..
Needless to say, this has flipped our families whole world upside down, I am now raising 5 boys at home while trying to cope with all the medical, food, schooling etc...while keeping my job and retaining my families health insurance.  My sister in law from Colorado moved back here to Missouri to help take care Krissy and our newborn baby while I work and maintain our much needed health insurance...In doing so, she has had to quit work and that puts a heavy strain on her family as well..
I guess where I`m going with this is our family needs help, By taking tons of time off needed to make things work we have hit a financial barrier.
Currently Evan is doing well and is up to 15 lbs at 13 months old, he can sit up and crawl around pretty good now.  Krissy on the other hand still has a very tough battle ahead, after 25-30 different chemo treatments and multiple other complications she still has a very tough time ahead of her..We continue to take her to Tulsa, Oklahoma to Cancer Treatment Center of America every 3 weeks for chemo and other treatments and rehab which is an almost 300 mile drive for us each way..
Our family always tries to stay positive about this and our "miracle baby" Evan is proof that things can turn around quickly , so we ask for your help with medical bills, expenses, schooling expenses for our 4 oldest boys, gas, many of the things that have became a giant strain on our family..I am somebody who had never asked for help before until this, Cancer cripples families daily and I just want my wife and family to live the best life possible..Our local community, friends, and churches have been amazing to us the last year and continue to help out but, the bills and expenses are starting to really take it`s toll..
