Support The Art Guild during COVID-19

Tax deductible
I'm raising money so The Art Guild can continue to offer ways at no cost to connect with your community during this difficult time including virtual free art receptions, online classes, community events such as The Rainbow Hunt and more.

The Art Guild is an invaluable asset to our community.
Our programming includes affordable art classes for children, teens and adults as well as lectures, demonstrations and the Visiting Artist Workshop Series. The Art Guild also offers free annual community events for children and adult as well as hosting free mindful art workshops for under-served populations such as disabled adults and cancer survivors.
Our goal is to make art accessible to all, even those who have never held a paint brush.

Did you know that just 45 minutes of creative activity significantly lessens stress in the body, regardless of artistic experience or talent?  During this difficult time, you can improve your well-being by engaging in a new hobby or expanding on what you already know.

As the community's only visual arts center, we understand that over the years The Art Guild has become much more than just a school or gallery, and it's all the more important to stay connected. So while the building is physically closed as New York is on PAUSE, The Art Guild is still open, online, and reaching more people than ever before.

The Great Rainbow Hunt: A Community Project has gone viral!  We are thrilled to find children, teens and adults all creating rainbows and displaying them.  It has become a game among the neighbor children to see who can find the most rainbows.

TAG at Home:  Our most popular page! www.theartguild.org/tag-at-home  .  Check out the daily tips, lessons and articles provided by our members and staff.  These are a great way to improve your process or learn a new skill.

BE HAPPY: A Virtual Art Exhibit with a Virtual Opening Reception! This is a time when we all look for something that makes us smile.  If you are an artist, please join us and submit a work that makes you smile: painting, photograph, whatever art form motivates you at this time.  Submissions are due April 13th and the virtual reception will be Sunday, May 3rd at 3pm.  Go to www.theartguild.org/be-happy to submit your work online.
Not at artist but an art lover?  Please join us at our virtual reception!

Online Classes: We are working on bringing our very talented instructors into your home!  Basic drawing, portraiture and colored pencil to name a few. Please email [email redacted] and let us know what you are interested in!

This is just some of what The Art Guild is doing to keep us all connected while we are feeling so isolated.  But we cannot continue to do this without YOUR help.

At this time, we are working hard to keep all of our employees working.  At the same time, we are  offering many free services and ways to connect.  Please help support the arts and donate today!
