Tetra starts a Business!

My name is Tetra Cierpke, and I have a dream to start a Jewelery Business that funds my International Mission work. From 2011 to 2015, I was a volunteer Jewelery-making instructor in Mozambique to widows and single moms. Since then, I have been taking shorter trips to teach Jewelery skills to women who cant get jobs in other countries, and my dream is to continue to teach Jewelery-making all over the world giving sustainable sources of income as well as dignity and empowerment to impoverished women.
I've found it very hard to find long-term work when I come back and forth from my travels, and I'd love to be able to support myself through my own skills. But the most exciting aspect of the vision, in my mind, is to be sowing back into the women whom I've taught, with profits from the business. I'm going to be setting up a fund with percentages of every sale going towards the women who have become like family to me in Mozambique to help them buy houses, or start their owne businesses, or whatever they dream to do!
I am already making Jewelery, but it hasn't been able to be my focus because I havent been able to afford to spend enough time on it or upgrade my tools. But in this season of life, I have decided to make sacrifices in order to direct my time and attention on this business and have felt so strongly that this is the time to boldly start this venture! I very much need to upgrade my work station and buy some vital, though expensive, Jewelery tools that would take me years to save up for, but will cut my time in half! This will allow me to make more pieces efficiently and be profitable enough to make this business a legitimate source of income! Several of the tools I'm needing are $300-650 each, which is where 90 percent of the funds raised will go. The rest will go towards basic start up costs just to become more legitimate, with a website, better packaging, labels with my logo, etc.
I am planning to open the business online the first of the new year, so that my tax year begins in 2018, but between now and then I am doing all I can to get my work station more useful, logo created, have labels made for packaging, and all the details together and ready to create many beautiful things!
