Life Saving Liver Transplant Fund
Terra is a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who has devoted her life to her family and friends providing unwavering friendship and support to everyone she encounters in life. She has a huge heart and wants nothing more than to continue to share her love and friendship with others. Along with her husband Tom, it is her dream to see her lovely 17-year-old daughter Brooke, off to college next fall and continue to care for and create life-long memories with both her and their adorable 8-year-old daughter Emily. In order to fulfill that dream, Terra is in urgent need of a life-saving liver transplant.
Terra began a tenacious battle against Fibrolamellar Hepatocellular Carcinoma (FHCC), a rare form of liver cancer, after her diagnosis in July 2001. Over the past 16+ years, Terra has endured countless surgeries, procedures, chemotherapy treatments and clinical trials in an attempt to find a cure and rid her body of this horrible cancer. Her fight has been long and hard and has brought her to her current situation where no further treatments or procedures are available and a liver transplant is the only option.
We are working with teams of doctors both in the US and abroad to identify this to the most expedient path to obtaining a liver transplant and know that this will be a very difficult road ahead. If there is one thing we know to be certain, Terra is ready for the battle! She has the most amazing and positive fighting spirit of anyone we have ever known and will concede in the fight for her life. The best hope we have right now, so far, is to make the journey to Korea where doctors there have accepted the challenge to perform her much needed surgery and to save her life.
We are hoping to raise between $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00 dollars to pay for a life-saving liver transplant for Terra and to help subsidize any additional medical, travel and personal expenses that the family
will surely face over the coming months. Our goal is to provide the financial support they need to allow them to focus all of their attention on saving Terra's life and helping with what will be a long and hard recovery.
