Telstra's Christmas Toy & Gift Drive for the WSSSA

For the past 10 years Kate McKeegan, one of our team members has orchestrated a gift and toy Xmas drive for the Women's Safety Services South Australia (www.womenssafetyservices.com.au). The Women's Safety Services SA is a domestic violence service doing an amazing job supporting over 5000 women and children. Each year the Christmas drive collects toys for the children and gifts for the mothers and plays an important part in hopefully brightening up the Christmas morning for the families at the service with a gift to open.

In 2019 over 1,900 toys and gifts were donated and the aim is to repeat the number of donations this year.

In the past it has been asked of people to have a look around their home to see if they have any BRAND NEW items that they would like to donate, for example, when children get too many toys at birthdays or Xmas or when you receive a gift with a purchase and it's too good to throw out and now it's just taking up space. However, due to the fact that we aren't in the office together this year we are instead asking you to donate as much as you can and a team of volunteers will go out and purchase a child's toy or a gift for a mother of your behalf.
