Friends of Tejan Anthony Edwards,
Due to the untimely passing of Tejan Anthony Edwards, we wanted to preserve his memory by creating a scholarship fund to support local musicians who wanted to pursue/ complete a degree in Music Education at Five Towns College in Dix Hills, NY
As a way to remember and to celebrate Tejan's gift of music to all of us, each January, we will kick-off a fund-raising campaign via mail, email, Web, and or social media to raise general funds for the Tejan Anthony Edwards Scholarship fund Initiative. We will also regularly ask for special offerings in local churches, concerts and at other social events in support of this initiative. The proceeds of our efforts will be dedicated to the support of students already enrolled at Five Towns College and pursuing a degree in music education. Our only bias will be toward those who have a concentration in the Gospel Music tradition and or Choral music.
