TEAM TOBY

Toby Peters is 2 years old. He was born in February 2013 with a heart problem. At 10 months old he had major heart surgery at The Evalina childrens hospital in London. He came through this ordeal well and was pronounced healthy.

Fast forward to may 2015, Toby had been unwell but was still being a typical 2 year old. It was, therefore, a huge shock when he was quickly diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia by Southend hospital and immediately sent to Great Ormond Street Hospital for treatment.

During his first stay at GOSH, which lasted three weeks, he was poked, prodded, scanned and tested. It was here that he began his three and a half year course of chemotherapy.

This will be a long road back to health.
