Currently Camron is taking 9 different medications. He also receives daily, weekly and monthly chemo. Every three months he gets a spinal tap to check his spinal fluids and make sure that it's free of cancer cells. After the spinal tap he gets chemo injected into his spine while under sedation. Camron's insurance does not cover ALL medical needs. And definitely doesn't take care of everyday living expenses.  Since diagnoses household bills became #2 next to the most important bills, his medical bills. It's hard to ask for help but it has been absolutely necessary. Every single dollar donated goes directly in Camron's personal acct to only be used for the most important of his needs. Camron's Story

October 24th started off as a regular day! After a messy breakfast Camron and I went upstairs to take a bath. While undressing him I noticed 3 strange, but awful bruises on his foot, elbow, and the back of his head. Although Camron has always been a rough and tough baby, I knew the bruises did not come from any fall. I immediately called my husband and asked him to return home from work. When he arrived we took him to the local emergency room. there he was diagnosed with a mild skin infection to be treated with antibiotics. 

Leaving the hospital I never felt comfortable with the diagnosis. Walking out of the ER my husband and I discussed that we would start the antibiotics and monitor him closely. After noticing yet another bruise, I began to document where and when I noticed it. We gave him his second dose and put him to bed.

By the early morning when he woke up the 3 bruises had now turned into 11. We rushed into the next closest emergency room, at that time I gave them my documentation. Right away we were seen by a doctor, who had STAT blood work ordered. Within a half hour or so we were informed he would be transported to another hospital where they were going to perform a series of tests. Upon arrival, he was wheeled into a pediatric oncology unit. It was then we knew it must be something more than we could ever have imagined. He was placed into the intensive care unit and we were told he had to have an emergency procedure to insert a direct line into his femoral artery. 

Once he was sedated they called me out of the room. I then received the worst news I've ever heard in my life. I was told my 19 month old baby has leukemia. After a few days they gave us the actual diagnosis, Pre B ALL Leukemia w/mutation 9:11. October 25, 2011, is a day I will never forget. Our world was completely flipped upside down. How were we going to get through this. I was 6 months pregnant with 4 and 6 year old girls at home.

In the past 7 months, he has spent a total of over 3 months in the hospital. Including halloween, thanksgiving, christmas, and even brought in the new year and his hospital room. We exchanged Valentine's Day cards there in February, decorated his room for Saint Patty's day in March and finally in April the 6 of us spent our first big holiday together, Easter. Even in between he spends 2 to 3 days in clinic visits. He still has more than 3 years of treatment to get through. Through it all he kept that light in his eyes and smile on his face. He has been a little soldier in every way. He is by far the strongest, most brave person I've ever known. He is truly such an amazing child.
