Up until January 23, 2015, Sara Brandenburg was a lot like most girls born and raised in East Texas.... beautiful, smart, funny, God-fearing, and full of vinegar. She marched through life to the beat of her own drum, which included dedicating her career to helping others, dedicating her selfless time and energy to caring for her family, dedicating her heart to anyone in need of a friend, and dedicating her zany sense of humor to making us all laugh.
But, on that Friday afternoon in January, Sara began her unique journey... a journey known by a simple, 6 letter word. Cancer.
In fact, about the only thing similar for cancer patients is the freakish, rollercoaster ride of biopsies, scans, labs, pathology reports... and phone calls and doctors' appointments that seeminly take forever to come... while the wait, waiting, and waiting still, on the sharpest of pins and needles, is filled to overflowing with prayers and worry and fear... and hoping against hope.
But no two cancer patients are the same. No two journeys. And Sara's is just beginning to unfold. Please join us with an outpouring of prayer, love, and encouragement... and support her, as you feel led... on her path of discovery, of successful treatment and, thus, of victory through Christ. :)
