Donation protected
Talofa!

For the first time EVER our Young Junior Golfers will be able to represent SAMOA in the 2018 International Management Group (I.M.G.) Junior World Golf Championships from July 9-13th in San Diego. We thank our sister nation of American Samoa for giving us the opportunity in years past to experience this, however now we are finally flying under our own flag! Thank you to everyone who has made this possible and we look forward to all the possibilities of the future!

We are very proud to be able represent our beloved nation of SAMOA. We hope you will be able to support us in whatever way you can so that we can accomplish our goals and reach our dreams! Please help us get there!

Your gifts of charity will help pay for airfares and tournament fees. We appreciate your help in any amount, way, shape, or form!

COMPETITION:
We have 5 youngsters competing. Our only female golfer, Faith Vui, will be competing in the 13-14 year old Girls category. Our youngest players are Kilo Brown and Aaron Evalu in the 11-12 year old Boys category. Our older boys - Greg Iosefa and Lio Vui will be representing us in the 13-14 year old Boys category.

WHY SHOULD I HELP?
These tournaments provide great exposure for these young golfers - they get to meet their peers from around the world, refine their skills through competition, showcase their talents to U.S. College coaches who can provide them with scholarships and future opportunities, and also show Fa'a Samoa (The Samoan Way) and proudly represent our country in the worldwide golf arena.

Who's to say that we don't have the next Tiger Woods in our midst?

COSTS:
$15,500 is an estimate of what the team will need to cover basic costs. Here are some of the costs that we will need to cover...

Entrance Fees:
$350 x 2 = $700
$390 x 3 = $1170
TOTAL: $1870

Airfares:
Cost an arm and a leg... unless you know someone who owns a private jet and is willing to fly the kids over for free? haha
Roundtrip airfare per person is roughly ~$3000 USD.

Hi, my name is Faith G. Vui. I have been selected as our Flag Bearer which I am truly honoured!! Go TEAM SAMOA!
I will be turning 13 in May. My favorite sport is Golf. I LOVE to eat Burgers & Fries and Chicken & Rice. Lydia Ko is my favorite pro-golfer. My dad is my coach! I am a part of Team Claw, they include: My dad (Coach) and players - Lio (Captain), Aaron, Tile, Niko, and Olive. Our Team Claw supporters include: My mom, Aunty Keti, and Uncle John.
      Goals:
#1 Get a full ride scholarship
#2 Win world tournaments
#3 Be the best woman golfer in the world
      Background:
I started playing golf when i was 10 yrs old. I began playing it because I wanted to get a full ride scholarship just like my older brother Niko, and to become one of the best women golfers in the world like Lydia Ko.
I want to go and play in the Junior Worlds not just to represent Samoa but to show that I am the best. But I can only be the best if I have a great ATTITUDE.
Having a great attitude means striving to be the best. The most important part of the game is the short game. If you can’t chip or putt, you can’t be the best. That is why my Team and I are practicing very hard to prepare for our upcoming tournaments; and for the future. I/we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for our TEAM!! I am proud to be part of the first ever Samoan local juniors to play under the Samoan flag at the IMG Junior Worlds in San Diego!!!

Hi everyone, my name is Lio G. Vui. I am honoured to be chosen as the Team Captain. We will be the first ever Junior Samoan Local Golfers to play in the IMG Junior Worlds in San Diego. We have a great TEAM SAMOA -Faith, Aaron, Kilo, Greg and myself!
     More about myself:
I'm turning 14 in April and I come from the village of Vaivase-Uta. My favorite sport is Golf and I LOVE Steak & Fries. My favorite golfer is Rickie Fowler. I am coached by my dad and a part of Team Claw.
     Goals:
#1 Win junior worlds
#2 Become pro golfer
#3 Win the Masters
#4 Be the best pro golfer in world like Tiger Woods.
     Background:
I was about 9 years old when I started golf, at that age I didn’t realise what golf could do for me and how fun it was. I went to golf every day except the days my dad had to work, so I just practiced out back. But at that age I didn’t have a good attitude so as I started getting older and realising what I needed to do. I got more into it and all I ever wanted to do was play golf, then I became Captain of Team Claw going by the rules of the coach. My duty is to help our team succeed for our/my future.
