Little Guy BIG Fighter

Hi, my name is Owen, and I'm just your typical little 2-year-old... happy, full of life and always looking for my next adventure. However, my typical life changed on June 28, 2014. I wasn't feeling very good, and mommy and daddy were concerned. I had a fever, and something wasn't normal with my blood. 

On June 30, I had to have this scary procedure called a bone marrow biopsy done, and the results weren't good...

I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). It's a cancer of the blood that makes you very sick.

Over the next 29 days, I had to have two blood transfusions, several spinal taps, chemo in my spine, weekly chemotherapy sessions, and 56 doses of steroids. This made me really hungry for taco meat, very bloated, and extremely tired. It also made it difficult for me to walk or play with my family and friends. 

On July 29, I received the greatest news! We found out I'm in remission! I'm not in the clear yet, but this means I only have one billion cancer cells in my body, instead of one trillion. 

I will be in treatment for the next 3.5 years, with more blood work, chemotherapy and spinal taps, but I have my mommy and daddy taking care of me every step of the way. 

Unfortunately, mommy had to quit her job to be with me every minute of the day, due to the weekly treatments and blood work. I don't always feel very good after the hospital visits, and I always want mommy or daddy to hold me because I'm scared. 

Daddy has been working more hours to help pay for all the hospital visits, but he also wants to be there for me. The hospital visits and treatments are pretty expensive, along with all the other medical equipment and supplies I need. 

Our family could really use your help. With mommy not working and the hospital bills building up, we would be so grateful for your support.
