*Team Lexi* Battle of Hodgkins!!

Hi. this is Lexi..she is a thirteen year old girl who has just been diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma. Her journey will be long, and full of many ups and downs. She has vowed to fight with everything she has in her being.
Lexi is uninsured and the bills are mounting..She has started her Chemotherapy and just this week alone did 20 hour in 3 days. She also had a pulmonary function test and a blood transfusion. It has been a hard week for Lexi, but she has been a trooper. She also needs Neupogen injections to increase the rate of her cell reproduction as the cancer has spread from the lymph system to her Spine, Femurs and bone marrow. These injections run over $1000 each. This fund has been set up specifically for this reason. Every penny here will be spent directly on Lexi's medical needs.
Lexi and I, have been documenting her journey with photos and jotting down notes..Lexi and I are doing this to turn her journey into a hard back book that she can take while meeting kids that are now being diagnosed..who are just as scared as she was..still is. She will show them before and after pictures. In just the past few weeks her world was turned upside down but she vows to beat this disease. Lexi has always wanted to be a doctor..I mean really it has always been her dream. She knows now that this is her calling and believes that by having cancer, by beating it..it will make her an even better Dr. Kids dreams often change..but she has never thought that she would do anything else. (well she does want to go to law school after med school).
