Dear Family and Friends
As you may or may not already know, Dallas and my nephew, is fighting so hard to be the strongest little boy on the planet right now.
Jayden Potter-Wilson, age 3 ½, was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). ALL affects lymphoid cells and can’t do any of the work of normal white blood cells, and grows/worsens rapidly. Jayden has been battling high fevers, at times they have been 104, and with a couple visits to the doctors and local hospital, doctors said he was fine. While driving home from their last hospital visit on Maui, they received a phone call from a nurse telling them they needed to head back to the hospital ASAP. The Potter-Wilson’s live on Maui but unexpectedly relocated to Oahu to be at Kapiolani Hospital for Jayden to receive the best care possible in Hawaii. Our little man has gone through lots of blood tests, a spinal tap, blood transfusion, bone marrow and chemotherapy all in a 48-hour period.
Following these recent events Jayden will have months of frequent trips to the hospital for more chemotherapy and then he will enter into a consolidation period where they will monitor his progress and make sure things are under control. This period will take a couple years, possibly more. This means they will take regular trips to Oahu and from Maui. Please help offset/assist with medical/daily living expenses to alleviate the financial burden. There are so many expenses to be paid for including hospital visits, treatment, transportation (mainly airfare), lodging, normal day-to-day living expenses, and so much more. We don’t know what the total expenses are going to be – but we HAD to get something started.
It is important for Jayden and his family to focus on winning the battle, so we are raising money to offset/assist with these expenses. Thank you to those who have already helped – with your love, prayers and support it has given Jade and Hoku a “deep breath” and have energized them to keep Jayden happy while he continues to fight. All your contributions are deeply appreciated – anything you can give will help!
