UPDATE: Haylee and Garrett competed in a Christian Teen Talent event (Christian Comedy, Drums/Percussions, Inspirational dance) and have advanced to Nationals. Nationals are in Baltimore, Maryland!! This trip is for June 17-June 21. Not only will they compete but we will visit Washington, D.C for Haylee's Graduation and summer vacation trip. Donations of Airline tickets or hotel stay are welcomed!

In late 2012, I was attacked at work while working with a student who is special needs with behavioral disorders. Because of confidentiality, I cannot give more details then that. I had to have surgery because of this attack in early 2013. I have been trying to return to work since, but my employer is having difficulty in "accommodating" the doctor recommended modifications to my physical disability I have now sustained from this attack. As of March 11, 2014 ALL worker's comp pay, differential pay, sick pay, family catastrophic pay, supplemental pay, etc has ended. As I wait to go through the long legal hoops, I am now on NON-PAY status. I am a single mom of two teenagers, one that is graduating in June.
As my family and I have gone through the process of my injury and financial ups and downs; my children have accrued a paper-route, as well as fundraise to pay for school stuff, church camp and other needs and activities. My daughter, who is graduating, has fundraised and saved every dime of her paper-route for her senior prom (ticket, dress, everthing), senior trip, as well as paying for school club shirts (she is in multiple clubs: PHAST, S-Club, 2014 club, FFA, ColorGuard, Criminal Justice - just to name a few) and school supplies. I have not been able to give her the senior year we all hope to give our children. My son (who is a sophomore) has done the same thing. He is in the fire-fighter explorers program and has paid for these expenses as well. Along with this they have continued to give their time, talent and tithes to our local church and other ministries.
The funds that I am asking for will go to continue paying bills (rent, electric, gas, groceries etc.) along with taking financial worries and stains off of my children. My daughter is looking forward to enrolling into college in the fall towards becoming a Forensic Scientist. We had to delay purchasing her a used car, as well as her going away to college for now. Our plan is she will start at the local Junior College as we save for her car and education.
I believe and know that ALL blessings come from above and anything will be a GREAT Blessing to us.
