Jacob Hantla's Cancer Medical Fund

Some of you may know that my brother in law, Jacob, was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of lymphoma this last week. Many of you may be familiar with their son, David, who has been fighting leukemia for 5.5 years, and is currently in remission after receiving CAR-t therapy last July. Life for them was starting to return to normal, or as close to normal as possible after a child has had cancer, and now Jacob has been diagnosed with cancer as well, a very aggressive, high-grade lymphoma. Kiki, my sister and Jacob’s wife, has been primarily staying at home taking care of David’s post-cancer cares and homeschooling their three kids. Jacob has been the family’s financial provider. He is now facing a long road of chemo (which starts today) and other cancer treatments and his family will have much decreased to no income to cover medical expenses and basic necessities for the family. Because of his past medical history, Jacob was never able to qualify for any disability insurance. Lots of small gifts can add up and really help the Hantlas not have to worry about finances through these challenges coming right on the heels of more than 5 years of leukemia challenges.
