It's hard to belive that we are coming up on "1 year later" already. It seem so soon, yet so long. The last year started out with this:
"Thank you all for the prayers today. I have felt every single one of them!!!! God has given me this peace today which has helped to stay focused. I'm not angry or questioning...just want to know next steps. For those who do not know yet, I've been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer which has spread to my liver and lungs. I will FIGHT this with all of my might, however if its not in God's plan, I've accepted that too. I love each and every one of you.
Remember to hug your spouse a little longer, tell your friends how much you care and love them, remind your parents (including in-laws) they are AMAZING parents, tickle your children and have fun with them... because we are never given an expiration date to go by and we should always be prepared for our wonderful Maker to take us home at any time."
...and continued to this last year being filled with touching stories, heart felt love and overwhelming support. The contributions everyone have made have allowed us to live a "normal life" not bogged down by medical bills. The ability to get one stress off our mind and back to living has been a HUGE blessing. The account still has an excess for one more years max deductible and for that we are more than tnakful.
I continue to take Chemo every 2 weeks and long for the next step. (Surgery or Radiation) God has blessed me to not have many side-effects from treatment. Treatment Tuesday, Up all night into Wednesday, and then a little run down Thursday and Friday. Back so feeling somewhat normal again by Saturday or Sunday. January revealed that the lungs are still clear, the liver is down to about 30-40%, but they found a lymphnode not noticed before. Radiation was canceled and back to Chemo with the added Avastin back in again. We scan again in two months and check again.
Again I can't thank everyone enough for all that you do, for all who you are and most of all for the prayers that I know are sent up daily on my behalf. He is listening and He is answering. Glory be to God and my He find a way to bless you through this trial I face.
