Rory’s wish to WALK

It’s my little boy Rory’s wish to walk ❤️ Rory received a diagnosis of cerebral palsy quadriplegia at 8 months old. He had a very traumatic birth, he was born 8 weeks early and in critical condition, it was hour by hour and he fought so hard to stay here with me, he is my miracle boy and a complete blessing!! It broke my heart to hear that he would never talk or walk! The Dr’s gave me such a poor outlook and no hope, I suffered with depression but  thanks to Rory’s love and beautiful smile I  found my way back! Nothing compares to the love I feel for my little man. Rory’s never been a moments trouble, he is the best part of my life!! I love him beyond measure and I thank god for him everyday, he brings so much happiness and joy wherever he goes! I am delighted to say that he is able to talk and I am looking forward to the day when we can go for a walk arm in arm. Last August he underwent major pelvic reconstruction surgery, double hip surgery and tendon lengthening surgery in the USA. I owe Boston Children's Hospital €33,000 as Rory had a longer time in theatre than anticipated, he also required a stay in intensive care post op which was completely unexpected. I need to urgently raise €78,000 to cover this year's rehabilitation. I need to raise €105,000 so that Rory can have the pins and plates removed from his hips over in Boston Children's Hospital in 10 months time. Rory also requires surgery on both knees to stop his leg growth, I am awaiting the cost of this .Post-op Rory will require a furture two years neurological rehabilitation to allow him to reach his full potential, each month it’s a huge struggle to cover the costs for Rory’s treatment. The team here in the neurological rehabilitation center are absolutely fantastic! Rory has learnt so much already and he is so proud of himself!! Rory is a little fighter, he has a never give up attitude and is making huge strides everyday in the neurological rehabilitation center, it is vital that he continues to attend to ensure that he is strong enough for his surgery’s the USA next year and ultimately for him to achieve his wish to walk, so I am asking that if you can, please support Rory on his wish to walk journey. I know he can do it! Rory knows he can do it!!! It will take hard work, courage, determination and a team of supporters who believe as we do 'too never give up!' ❤️❤️ #TeamRory #Roryswishtowalk
