Es un programa que nos permite como Oscar Y Luis David, construir canales de sensibilización, por medio de la práctica de deportes, como es el atletismo y el Triatlón, pero este proyecto nos cuesta mucho y es en donde pedimos tu apoyo y colaboración, junto con Luis David queremos hacer tres maratones el próximo año, y correr varios Triatlones, pero requerimos en tu apoyo.

Hello, we are Luis David and Oscar Mauricio, a son and a father that share a passion for running (and other physically challenging activities.)
Luis David has a condition known as Cerebral Palsy and is the inspiration for everything that we do, from the countless races we participate in each year, to the support that we provide to other families who are affected by this condition.
We are the proud founders of a foundation in Barranquilla, Colombia known as FIDEC, whose primary objective is to support families and children with cerebral palsy and other conditions requiring similar therapy. From personal experience with Luis David, I have found that family is an extremely important factor in the speed of a child´s development, especially when that child lives with cerebral palsy. Parents carry a heightened responsibility when their child has this condition, as they need help with about 80% of their daily functions and will continue to require this support as they age.
One of the functions of our foundation is to help parents embrace the diagnoses of their children and stop viewing their conditions as a burden. We found that when parents share an interest with their children, it is easier for them to bond and understand each other. Luis David and I experienced this firsthand, as we began running together a few years back. Our motto, “We Run for the Children Who Cannot Run for Themselves”, is something we carry in our hearts and hope to instill in the hearts of other parents. When Luis David and I go on a run, I have the opportunity to share one of my favorite experiences with him; with each smile he gives me, I feel stronger both physically and emotionally, I feel younger and more alive, and, best of all, I feel like the luckiest father in the world. My experience with my son has shown be that nothing is impossible and that it only takes the right mindset to achieve our goals.
The CaroWagner team is planning to make even more of our dreams a reality in what is remaining of this year. Each day, we dream of traveling longer distances and spreading our message around the world.
We need your support to continue achieving the impossible. Our goal is to participate in two marathons each year, numerous triathlons, and an Ironman 70.3 (although a full Ironman is already on the horizon). For the remainder of this year, we will be racing within Colombia, and we will start off 2019 with a marathon in Fort Lauderdale.
