Tattoo Marty's R.I.P. Donations
Martin Laster was born Dec. 1, 1959, in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts. At the age of 55, he passed away at 10:32 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 11th, 2015. He was a lifelong Brevard resident, growing up in Merritt Island and eventually living in Palm Bay for the remainder of his life. Marty was a legend in the tattoo community as a master artist for over 30 years. He opened his first tattoo studio ‘Tattoos By Marty’ where he began transforming ink & skin into pieces of art. About halfway through his career, he opened his second & final tattoo shop, ‘Refined Tattoos’ where he continued his work, befriending hundreds upon thousands; not only through his exceptional talent but with his genuine kindness & completely original personality up until the very day he passed.
He is survived by his mother and father, Cynthia & Ira Laster, his brother David, his wife Barbi, his three daughters Jessica, Laura & Tonya, his two sons Josh & Tyler, & his 6, soon to be 7 grandchildren. He was beloved by each and every one of them.
A service has already been held for immediate family. Because of the man he was & the legacy he leaves behind for so many of us, there will also be a Memorial Bike Run on February 1st, 2015 beginning at American Legion Post 81 at Noon. Everyone who knew Marty, wear his artwork on their skin, or would just like to pay their respects are more than welcome to be a part of the Run. Marty was taken from us all too early but with dignity & respect. His family, including his wife Barbi would like to send their love to all whom have helped us get through this terrible moment in our lives. From the heart, any donations would be greatly appreciated to see Marty off & to help the family with uncermountable debt & expenses.
