Tatjana Wiens Fundraiser

Tatjana's battle with Leukaemia began in 2008 when she was only 9 years old. After being treated, it was announced that she was cancer-free. She has been cancer-free for 2 years 2 months then in April 2013 it was back and spreading rapidly. Tatjana was sent to Edmonton for treatments which included chemo, radiation and several other expensive treatments not covered by BC health. From there to Calgary where she was treated again with Chemo and radiation, then finally on September 10, 2013, she had stem cell transplant that was donated to her by her brother Jerry. Tatjana will be spending 3 months in Calgary, after that she will be transferred back to Edmonton and will be staying there until April 2014. After all of that if treatments are successful, she will have to travel to Calgary quiet often for next 5 years, for check ups. How often she goes for check ups will depend on her condition.


Tatjana's father works as often as possible but with Tatjana being in critical condition quiet often it's getting difficult juggling between work in Fort St. John and flying out to Calgary very often to support her and the wife. Also the rented furnished house in Calgary, being close to Hospital, is very expensive. Wiens' have school children back home with a sitter and the younger children are in Calgary with the mom. They have mortgage to pay and the rest of the bills, including flights to Calgary. Any help is really appreciated. Thank you all who have helped and are continuing to help! God bless you all!
