Paris: The Dream

In highschool, everyone has a dream. We fantacize about what our future may hold and the successes we want, but for most those successes are gauged by the salaries earned or materials purchased. For me, that dream was always Paris. I remember sitting in the family van as my mom drove me to school one early morning thinking to myself that one day, one day, I will get the chance to roam the streets of Europe and explore the wonders and the people the world has to offer. This fall, I have that chance, but that chance is fading. 

I have been accepted to study abroad this Fall at UC Center Paris for a full semester, but there is only one thing left to hold me back - funding. For the last 2 years I have been scrimping and saving and planing and budgeting, but it is not enough. As of this moment, my financial aid can only cover 2/3 of my program fees leaving me with the extraordinary pleasure of cultivating the remaining $3,000 on my own so that I may have a roof to live under and books to study from. 

As some of you may know, my family is no stranger to financial hardships as my parents are still fighting agains my mom's medical bills from her 2nd bout with cancer just 2 short years ago, so I turn to you - whether you be my relative, close friend, acquaintence, or perfect stranger - for your kindness. I am asking you here today from the deepest, most sincere place in my heart for your help to make this dream a reality. Even if all you can give is that jar full of loose change collecting dust in your closet, anything, honestly anything at all, would be a God send.
