Taking care of Olga's boys

As many of you already know, Olga Radko passed away on June 29, 2020.  Olga was the director of the Los Angeles Math Circle, which she founded in 2007 and ran for its entire 13-year existence.  She touched many lives over those thirteen years, inspiring both parents and students with her love for math and her devotion to kids.  Her loss hurts.

Olga is mourned today not only by the Math Circle community, however, but also by her loving and heartbroken family, including husband Dima and boys Victor and Robert.  This GoFundMe Campaign is raising money for a college fund that will help the boys pay for tuition, room & board when they are ready for college.  We are reaching out to Math Circle families, hopeful that our community can raise a meaningful amount of money, both to help Olga's sons and to powerfully show them how grateful we all have been to have had Olga in our lives.

There is no minimum or maximum contribution.  But if we as a community can gather meaningful resources, we can really move the needle for Victor and Robert, honoring Olga by investing in her kids in the way she has long invested in ours.

The news of Olga's untimely passing is a painful reminder of how suddenly things can change, just as Math Circle more generally is a powerful reminder of the impact that one person can have in the world.  Both are good lessons for us all.
