Support for my Best Friend and her little family.

In late May 2017 at 22 weeks pregnant they were enjoying a perfect twin pregnancy. They were happy and loving everything about preparing their lives for two baby boys. They were ready for it all, or at least they thought they were.
Soon after they started seeing some abnormalities in the boys' sonogram, and in early June they had to rush  to a hospital in Los Angeles for a consult. They were blindsided by finding out that their babies were hours away from both being lost if they didn't do immediate surgery. Both their babies were very sick and the condition came on much faster than it commonly does. Baby A (Cole) was in the 1% for his size and his heart was struggling to keep him alive. Baby B's (Brooks) heart was thickened from working too hard and he was starting to retain fluid in his abdomen. They were diagnosed with stage 4 Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS), the last stage where there is any hope in saving them.
That day the hospital cleared their schedule for surgery and the same afternoon they were able to divide the shared blood vessels and gave their boys a chance to survive. They both made it through surgery, but unfortunately they lost Baby A (Cole) the following day. It was very difficult for them, but the boys shared two major blood vessels that would have undoubtedly affected Baby B (Brooks) had Baby A (Cole) passed before the surgery. They could have lost them both.
This was a very sudden situation that they found themselves in and they acted as fast as they could, they went to the best specialist in the country for this syndrome, and they acted immediately. As sad as it was, the quick response by the doctor and his team saved the life of their baby boy, Brooks.
Once home Momma was put on bedrest but this didnt help for too long because Cole decided he wanted to make his appreance at 30 weeks. Brooks Stephen was born at 8:56am on Sunday July 23rd. He is 10 weeks premature and weighs 3lbs 7oz. He'll be in the NICU for 7-10 weeks but he's doing very well all things considered. Other than his lungs being weak and him being skinny, he is in great health! He decided he wanted to get out and off the wild ride they have been through.

Thank you for any support possible. It is greatly appreciated.
