The Single MOM KC is excited to be able to send Executive Director Misty Honnold, and Pastoral Director Laurie Morris to the Dominican Republic to strengthen the work to single mothers in this Spanish Speaking Nation.
Viola Jackson, leader and friend to TSMKC, had moved to the DR embracing the invition of the Lord to raise a house of prayer in the nation. While Misty visited Viola in the DR in 2014, The Single MOM KC hosted a one day seminar for over 60 single mothers. Out of that group a team of 10 dedicated women came together and have been meeting for almost a year under the leadership of Viola Jackson.
These women are passionate about seeing God move in families across their nation. They long to see women and children walk in their god-given identity and see restoration sweep across the land.
Misty and Laurie will be working with these women during a weekend retreat. Laurie, who is a Spiritual Life Coach will be offering prayer ministry with each woman individually. In addition The Single MOM DR will be hosting their 2nd one day event for Single Mothers, with Misty and Laurie serving as guest speakers.
It is our desire to bring the message of HOPE and FREEDOM to single mothers in the Dominican Republic. We also have plans and a desire to take material to strengthen the women there in an ongoing way.
We will be ministering in the Dominican Republic for 2 weeks. Please join us as we embark on our First Missionary Journey!
