Help Pave Taylor’s Road to the Olympics 2020
It is no secret that the road to the Olympics is one less traveled. As many of you know, our daughter, Taylor attends Northern Michigan University (NMU), one of two Olympic Training Sites in the US, as a Weightlifting-Hopeful for the 2020 Olympics. To increase the likeliness of a successful journey to the Olympics, Taylor must compete in as many International Competitions as possible. Well, following several wins, opportunity is knocking and Taylor could use your help.
Over the past two years, Taylor has grown exponentially in her sport, surpassing any and all expectations. She is extremely focused, motivated and self-driven in all facets of life. Most recently, Taylor competed in the University National Championship, breaking a 15-year standing record previously held by a 2008 Olympian with her 84kg snatch. This was a goal Taylor set out to achieve for herself and successfully accomplished. Following the return home from the Universities Championship with a new American Junior Record in snatch, one gold and two silver medals overall, Taylor was invited to attend the Taipei 2017 29th Summer Universiade in Taipei, Taiwan the week of August 20-25. This is a self-funded trip as many of her competitions are. This is no doubt a very exciting time in Taylor’s weightlifting career, and with your help she can go on to her next international competition in Taipei Summer Universiade. Time is of the essence and we have not been given a lot of notice to fund this adventure for her. Now is the time for us to reach out to you, our family, friends and even fans of Taylor to contribute what you are able to, to afford her trip to Taiwan. Every donation counts and no amount is too small.
We thank you for supporting Taylor through her journey, many of you not even knowing her personally.
