Beginning this July, I will be teaching at THRIVE. "THRIVE is a public, tuition-free, charter boarding school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for students in grades 6 through 12. It will provide students with a world-class education in a holistically nurturing family-like residential environment." The school serves at-risk students from East Baton Rouge Parish.
I am attempting to get a widely used reading program known as Accelerated Reader for the school. I have used this program many times in other school systems, however, the expense is something we would need help with to get it at THRIVE. I believe it will help the students in all subjects if we were able to hold them accountable for their reading and help improve comprehension. Please help if you can!
