THHC Crash Fund
We’re tired, sore, and defeated, but very lucky that nobody was hurt.
On December 6, 2017, we were on route to play with our brothers in Texas King for their hometown album release party. That's when we hit a patch of ice about 3 hours outside of Thunder Bay on Highway 17 and lost control of our van and trailer. The trailer snapped off and left us barrel rolling into the ditch. As doomed as we all felt, we are all so lucky that none of us were seriously hurt, the only injuries being a couple stitches on Kevin's hand from ramming the windshield out, Jay's mild concussion, and a couple sore backs and necks.
Everything took a hefty beating. Our van and trailer are totalled. The impact broke the trailer door in half and sent our gear flying everywhere. Some things need to be replaced, some things need to be repaired.
Truthfully, this accident could not have happened at a worse time. We are finishing up our next album, and it has been a very busy and cost intensive time for The Honest Heart Collective. With more expenses to come in the near future before we can release our new record, this has added a large and unexpected financial burden on both the band as a whole and as indiviuals. At the moment, we are unsure of what will come from insurance settlements, but the bottom line is that we cannot make this work without your help.
