Swatara Township Police K9 Unit

The Swatara Township Police Department recently purchased their first dog for their newly formed K-9 Unit.  The dog’s name is Kix and he is a Belgian Malinois and German Shephard mix.  We are so grateful for all of the funds that have been donated by the community to include residents and businesses.

Our work on the K-9 Unit is not completed however, as we are still looking to raise $40,000 so that we can purchase our second dog.  Swatara Township has one of the highest call volumes in Dauphin County and to make this unit even more successful we would like to have two working dogs so that their coverage can be expanded.

Every donation helps, there is no amount too small.  Please consider donating to this worthy cause which will help protect our community and strengthen our police force.

We appreciate all of the support thus far and look forward to adding another four legged member to our police department!
