On the evening of December 14, 2016, Susan Brister Jacobs was caroling with her church in the New Caney, TX, area. When a car accident occurred near them, she and other carolers were directing traffic around the wreck, as a speeding driver hit one of those cars, then hit Susan, causing tremendous and ultimately fatal injuries.
She was Life Flighted to Hermann Hospital that night where surgeons began the many operations and treatments try to save her life .
She was a fighter and fought to survive, but it wasn't to be. God called her home to live in eternity, pain free and free of any further distress from her severe injuries. Susan was killed while trying to help others, as he was prone to do in life--she was a talented and dedicated caregiver. She loved her husband, children, doted on her grandchildren. Additionally, she devoted a lot of time and effort helping her mother-and-father-in-law, Barbara & J.T. Jacobs, through their illnesses.
The family is in great need of help to overcome the costs of James' lost wages, of the cost of being at the Medical Center in vigil for the week that Susan and the surgeons fought to repair her many injuries. Now, they are additionally faced with the cost of the funeral for their loved one.
Any amount that you would like to donate to help alleviate the immediate financial distress of the James & Susan Jacobs family brought on by this tragic loss of life will be greatly appreciated.
