Susan's Defamation Court Costs Fund

Hi, I'm Susan Prince and I am a professional theatre maker.  Last year I toured 17 regional towns performing in "It All Begins With Love", a verbatim theatre piece about Domestic Violence. During my tenure I was interviewed regarding the role and said I related to my character as I had an abusive husband.
I have been taken to court for defamation by my ex and as I cannot afford a barrister to defend me I have had to defend myself.  I have been ordered to pay the court costs and to write particulars of the suffered DV, and will have to attend court again.
I will be using your kind donation to pay for court costs and an airfare from Cairns to Brisbane to attend court for the second time.
This is a landmark case as if I lose all survivors of Domestic Violence will be afraid to speak out against this scourge as they could be taken to court for defamation.
I will be so grateful for your support as being an actor is not a full time position and I am on the dole between projects.
Rob Pyne MP has raised this in Parliament as this case has political ramifications because Dame Quentin Bryce's 144 recommendations on Domestic Violence  are changing the Queensland laws.
