Slyk The Labrador Needs TPLO Surgery!
We just rescued Slyk (like Slick) last week from an owner who claimed he "has a sore leg that the vet says will be fine with anti-inflamatories and glucosamine"
Turns out this poor handsome gentleman has a completely torn rear ACL and has been walking on it for MONTHS. Normally when you adopt a dog and you find something wrong, you talk to where you got the dog, unfortunately the moment we took him, the previous owner flipped their lid, so they are no longer an option.
We went to the local orthopedic clinic here, and as friendly as they are, they do not offer any type of billing for this procedure, so now we turn to you all, friends, family, and complete strangers.
We have applied for Care Credit and that is covering some of the bill, but we want to make sure our boy gets the best surgery he can and as soon as he can.
