Hey All -
We're Dan and Danny, and this is Luna, our 6 month old pup. She's a very sweet girl, but very hyper.
On 2/28, Luna decided to run around the apartment and she started jumping around. She ended up jumping up from the floor and when she landed, she somehow landed on her rear right leg at the wrong angle. We scooped her right up and was able to calm her down as she was crying and howling in pain. Taking a look at her leg, we could see something was off - so we rushed her to Banfield Pet Hospital that morning. She was gotten in, and was there for the bulk of the day. They had several x-rays done, and had to sedate her and give her medication for her pain. The outcome of the visit is that sadly, Luna has to have surgery. The diagnosis is a Tibal Tuberosity Avulsion/fracture.
The vet that we had seen advised that she be gotten in for surgery as soon as possible, while several surgeons that they had spoken with said that she should be ok for several weeks before the surgery. We're looking to raise money for Luna's Surgery. Her visit to Banfield, the bill was well over $800 and that put a massive strain on our finances.
We're in the process of reaching out to several non-profit groups to see if they may also be of assistance so that Luna can have this surgery and recover from it as soon as possible.
Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated. We want our girl to get well soon!!
Thank you in advance for your help!!
